Application Scenarios for Henan Mine QY Insulated Bridge Cranes

The QY Insulated Hook Bridge Crane manufactured by Henan Mine is a specialized lifting device designed for high-current, high-temperature, and corrosive environments. Multiple insulation devices are installed at critical points to prevent current conduction that could endanger personnel and equipment safety. Insulating pads are installed between lifting mechanisms, while connection points utilize insulating sleeves and plates. This creates a dual-protection system of “mechanical connection + electrical isolation,” ensuring no leakage current between the crane body and live conductors in high-voltage environments.
Substation/Converter Station Maintenance Workshops
Suitable for lifting and maintenance of main transformers, GIS switchgear, high-voltage switchgear, and other equipment in 110kV, 220kV, and 500kV substations. Operating environments contain high-voltage busbars and energized conductors. The QY insulated crane employs triple protection—insulated hooks, insulated trolley wheels, and insulated rails—to prevent current conduction when the crane contacts energized equipment. This safeguards against damaging precision electrical equipment or causing electric shock. For example, during transformer maintenance, it safely lifts transformer cores and windings, precisely positioning them at repair stations to ensure safety in energized zones.
Power Plant Electrical Workshops (Thermal/Hydro/Wind)
Used for live equipment maintenance in thermal power plant turbine rooms and hydroelectric generator rooms, such as lifting generator stators/rotors, high-voltage cable trays, and excitation equipment; For wind power facilities, it handles maintenance of box transformers and replacement of live components within turbine nacelles. To address the complex electrical environments of power plants, the crane is equipped with an insulation monitoring device that continuously monitors insulation integrity. It immediately triggers an alarm and halts operations upon detecting insulation failure. Simultaneously, it accommodates the high-altitude and long-span operational demands of power plants, ensuring continuous and safe maintenance workflows.
Transmission Line Construction and Emergency Repair Sites
Suitable for high-voltage transmission line tower construction and cable laying sites, handling live components like high-voltage insulators, cable reels, and tower fittings. In temporary outdoor work zones, the crane can transfer materials near live lines. Its insulated structure prevents induced current conduction. Combined with wireless remote control operation, it minimizes personnel proximity to high-voltage areas, enhancing safety and efficiency during construction and emergency repairs.
Aluminum Electrolysis/Copper Electrolysis Workshops
Within electrolysis workshops of aluminum and copper plants, electrolysis cells carry powerful direct current (typically tens of thousands of amperes), with both cell bodies and busbars energized. QY insulated bridge cranes are used for lifting anode plates, cathode plates, electrolysis cell lining materials, and performing maintenance on electrolysis equipment. The crane's hook and trolley/girder travel mechanisms feature insulated designs to prevent current leakage upon contact with energized cells or busbars, thereby avoiding cell short-circuits or damage to electrical control systems. The insulation materials are engineered for high-temperature resistance and dust abrasion tolerance, ensuring reliable operation in the workshop's harsh, high-temperature, and dusty environment.
Metallurgical Electric Arc Furnace Workshop
Used for electrode replacement and furnace body maintenance in electric arc furnace steelworks. During operation, high-voltage arcs form between electrodes and molten steel. Cranes must perform electrode lifting and installation within this high-voltage electric field. The QY crane's insulated structure blocks induced currents from the arc, preventing electrical conduction to other workshop equipment and ensuring safe, efficient electrode replacement.
Electrified Railway Maintenance Base
Designed for maintenance of electrified railway catenary systems on high-speed and conventional railways, handling components like catenary poles, pantographs, and high-voltage cables. Operating near live catenary lines (25kV high voltage), the crane's insulation prevents current conduction. Its low-clearance design adapts to confined maintenance bay layouts, meeting lifting and maintenance requirements for catenary equipment.
High-Voltage Testing Workshops for Electronic Components
Used in production and testing of electronic components like high-voltage capacitors and surge arresters, handling test samples and high-voltage testing equipment. Within workshops containing high-voltage test fields, QY insulated cranes prevent current conduction through the crane during testing, avoiding interference with test data or damage to testing equipment. Clean insulating materials are employed to meet the clean environment requirements of electronic component production.
.Electrolysis Cell Workshops in Chemical Industry
In electrolysis cell workshops for certain chemical production (e.g., chlor-alkali), cells operate under high-voltage live conditions. Cranes are used to lift electrolysis cell components, raw material storage tanks, and similar equipment. Henan Mine offers customizable QY series models combining insulation and explosion-proof features. These cranes isolate .Electrolysis Cell currents while guarding against explosion risks from combustible gas leaks in workshops, meeting the chemical industry's dual safety requirements.

By optimizing the main girder structure and adopting a flat insulated hoist design, we significantly reduce the overall equipment height. The 35kV low-headroom model requires a minimum clearance of just 3.2m, making your workshop's 5.5m ceiling height more than sufficient.
Is operating the QY insulated bridge crane different from a standard crane? Can employees learn quickly?
Professional Answer: Operation is virtually identical to standard double-girder cranes. Employees can master it quickly with minimal training.
Compared to standard double-girder cranes, the QY insulated bridge crane is significantly more expensive. How does its cost-effectiveness measure up? Is it worth the investment for our live-line operation scenarios?
Professional Answer: While the initial purchase price of the QY insulated crane is 40%-60% higher than standard double-girder cranes, it is absolutely worth the investment for live-line operation scenarios. Long-term usage demonstrates superior cost-effectiveness! We conducted a calculation for a State Grid substation: Their purchase of two 20-ton QY insulated cranes involved an initial price difference of approximately 800,000 yuan. However, by avoiding power outage losses, reducing maintenance costs, and mitigating safety risks, they recouped the price difference in just one year and two months. Subsequently, they save over 300,000 yuan annually in power outage and maintenance costs. For live-line operation scenarios, the QY insulated bridge crane isn't an “expensive choice”—it's the “only safe choice,” fundamentally safeguarding operational safety and production continuity.
If equipment fails during peak live-line operation periods, can after-sales support keep pace?
Expert Answer: We absolutely guarantee after-sales support during peak live-line operation periods. Dedicated technical expertise and spare parts for insulation fault repairs ensure your power outage maintenance schedule remains unaffected! First, our team of over 120 specialized insulated crane service engineers undergo rigorous insulation repair training and hold high-voltage operation certifications. They can precisely address various insulation faults, such as repairing damaged insulation coatings or replacing insulated components. Second, we maintain insulation parts warehouses in major power hubs nationwide, stocking essential components like insulated wheels, insulated bearings, and insulation coatings for rapid deployment.
